Matthew Laydon
Licensed Property Manager
Matthew brings a unique blend of experience and expertise to his role as Licensed Property Manager and Chief of Operations. Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Matthew made the strategic move to British Columbia, where he embarked on a journey in property that has since become his passion and profession.
With years of firsthand experience managing his own rental properties, Matthew has honed his skills in property management, mastering the intricacies of tenant relations, property maintenance, and financial oversight.
Committed to continuous growth and professional development, Matthew has completed all courses in the Residential Building Management curriculum with the Professional Association of Managing Agents. Furthermore, he has undertaken the I Rent it Right Course through LandlordBC, ensuring he remains at the forefront of industry best practices and regulations.
Pamela Thompson
Licensed Property Manager
Since joining the SOPM team in January 2015, Pam Thompson has proven to be an invaluable asset, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in investment management.
Pam’s roots run deep in the South Okanagan, having called this vibrant region home since 2003. Her intimate familiarity with the area, coupled with her diverse background, makes her an unparalleled resource for clients seeking expert guidance in property management.
Pam’s journey in real estate management is complemented by her academic background, having attended BCIT for Marketing and Sales. This foundation, combined with her hands-on experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, positions her as a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of market dynamics and client needs.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Pam has managed her own properties and successfully operated an RV resort and hotel, further solidifying her expertise in property management and customer service. Her multifaceted experience underscores her ability to navigate the complexities of the property management industry with precision and finesse.

Karolina Sobus is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in property management. Karolina’s journey in property management began over a decade ago, where she quickly distinguished herself as a leader in the field. As both a Strata and Property Manager, Karolina has garnered extensive experience in overseeing a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring their efficient operation and maximizing their value.
In addition to her role as a property manager, Karolina is the proud owner of Sunsage Management, her own vacation rental company. This unique perspective allows her to offer comprehensive services tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients, whether they require short-term or long-term management solutions.

Sandra elke
Accounting Manager
With over 30 years of experience as an accounting technician and bookkeeper, Sandra Elke brings a wealth of expertise and proficiency to her role. Born in the north Okanagan and later relocating to the central Okanagan after high school, Sandra’s journey in the field of finance has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Sandra’s academic journey began with the completion of the 2-year Diploma in Business Administration at Okanagan College, laying a solid foundation for her career in accounting. Eager to further her knowledge and skills, she embarked on the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program, successfully completing four levels while gaining practical experience at a local CPA firm.
Sandra meticulously prepares accounting records in a timely and organized manner, adhering to the stringent guidelines set forth by the BC Financial Services Authority.
CHERYL KROEKER
Licensed Property Manager
Cheryl Kroeker is an accomplished property manager with extensive experience in overseeing privately owned buildings. Controller
Tamara Tucker is the Controller at (SOPM), bringing extensive experience in financial management and accounting to the team. With a strong background in real estate and property management finance, she ensures the company’s financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Tamara oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, ensuring that SOPM maintains the highest standards of financial integrity. ISABELLA BRUSILO
Licensed Property Manager
Isabella Brusilo is a fully licensed Property Manager and graduate of the UBC Sauder School of Business. She joined SOPM with a diverse background that blends creativity, organization, and hands-on experience.
As a professional real estate photographer and certified interior designer with a degree in event management, Isabella brings a unique perspective to property presentation and management. Since moving to the South Okanagan in 2022, she has developed a strong understanding of the local communities and housing market.
Having grown up in the building maintenance and janitorial industries, Isabella values quality care, attention to detail, and efficiency in every aspect of her work. Naturally organized and proactive, she takes pride in managing each property as if it were her own — ensuring both owners and tenants feel confident and supported every step of the way.
